What is the best piece of advice of that your parent or guardian has given you? Tell what the advice was and what prompted you to ask the question.

 I don't really ask my parents for advice all that much because I usually just figure things out by myself. They gave me the advice to try to graduate college with no student loans because they payed them until after I was born and that seems like good advice. I don't want to be 40 and still paying off student loans. I mean what's even the point? There have been millions of students paying tuition since then I don't know what could possibly be sucking up all that money. It's ridiculous people that are old are paying student loans so the college can by cleaning robots. 


Today I was not in class because I was at District Honor Band.


I learned about how to collaborate with new people to make better music over an extremely long period of time (it ran from 9 am to 9 pm) and we rehearsed probably 10 hours of that so it was rough.

 My cultural heritage shapes my expectations just like in "Girl" by Jamaica Kincaid, but the tasks that I have to do are a little different. Instead of doing something like hanging up laundry, I have to take care of my dog and do the dishes, for example. I also have to take out the trash and do other various chores. Culturally, all of these chores are done by the teenagers in the family.  In class, we read and discussed the passage "Girl" by Jamaica Kincaid.  I learned how to critically think about a passage of reading and how to read intelligently. I will use this in the future at jobs and at college.

Write about a dream that felt real.

 One dream that felt real was when I went to school with no pants on. I had no idea it was happening until everyone was looking at me and I remember feeling super scared. I woke up and I was like how on this planet earth did I straight up forget to put on pants and it was just really confusing. I remember waking up scared thinking it would somehow happen to me in real life even though I knew it would never.  Today in class we finished Fences and worked on our poster. The book was very interesting. Troy ended up dying and the resolution was that Cory went to his funeral.
