You may also discuss something new you tried, something you learned, or how the break helped you reset before returning to school. Keep your response appropriate for a school setting and focus on experiences you are comfortable sharing publicly

One thing I did over break that was new was I played a video game with my friend called "Peak." The goal of the game is climb a series of mountains that have various challenges in order to escape the island. The story is that you are on a flight and your plane crashes on a beach and you and your friends have to work together to climb 4 mountains. The first mountain is a normal mountain, the second is a forest with big trees and various hazards such as spiders that try to wrap you into their webs, beetles that headbutt you off cliffs, and even zombies that chase you around while you're climbing. On this mountain, there is an occasional strong wind that can push your character off a cliff if you're not holding on to something. The next mountain is either a snowy mountain or a desert mountain, depending on the day. The sun in the desert harms you, and occasional blizzards harm you on the snowy mountain. After this, you reach a lava lake called the Caldera. you must swin...

What is the best piece of advice of that your parent or guardian has given you? Tell what the advice was and what prompted you to ask the question.

I don't really ask my parents for advice all that much because I usually just figure things out by myself. They gave me the advice to try to graduate college with no student loans because they payed them until after I was born and that seems like good advice. I don't want to be 40 and still paying off student loans. I mean what's even the point? There have been millions of students paying tuition since then I don't know what could possibly be sucking up all that money. It's ridiculous people that are old are paying student loans so the college can by cleaning robots.  Today I was not in class because I was at District Honor Band. I learned about how to collaborate with new people to make better music over an extremely long period of time (it ran from 9 am to 9 pm) and we rehearsed probably 10 hours of that so it was rough.

What is the most challenging part of working in a group? Discuss a time when a group assignment did not go as well as you planned and how you learned from that experience.

The most challenging part of working in a group is when you get in a group of people who don't care about their grades. This happens in some other classes I have where people are already failing and they have no problem bringing me down with them. They do no work and just sit around until I do the whole thing and that sucks. One time I had a science project in physical science and the teacher picked the groups and I ended up doing 3 other people's work the night before it was due. I never saw those kids again. Today I wasn't in class I visited Georgia Southern I learned a lot about the horn studio at GSU and I got to play in their ensemble rehearsal.

What is the most challenging part of writing an essay for you? Is it brainstorming, organizing ideas, writing a strong thesis, or something else? How do you plan to overcome this challenge?

The most challenging part of an essay is turning it from a long stream of consciousness into something that's actually organized. As you know well by now, I like to go on long detailed tirades about things I either like or hate. The most challenging part of an essay is turning it into something someone else would actually want to read. Today we learned how to start an essay.  I learned how to effectively start an essay

Describe a real moment in your life that felt like the beginning of a powerful story. Tell what happened, and why it felt like a turning point in your life?

One time in my life that felt like the beginning of a powerful story. Is when I started playing the French horn for the first time. That was in 4th grade and I was pretty good for my age at it considering I just started. It was a major turning point because it would end up being my passion which I still practice today and am going to go to college to play.  Today I presented my presentation to the class. I learned about presenting skills and how to effectively talk to a group of kids

Prompt: If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.

If I had to write a poem right now, it would be about probably school and maybe playing the French horn and kicking. I would probably make it rhyme because I like to write poems if they rhyme because I feel like it makes them more fun. Also probably about how cold it's been because it's insane. Maybe I'd even throw in some details about video games or something I don't know.  Today we presented projects I learned about the analyzations my peers made about chapter 6.
