Prompt: In 2–3 well-developed sentences, reflect on how you spent your Holiday Break. Then, identify four personal you would like to achieve this year and briefly explain why each goal is important to you (Copy and paste your completed response from Writable into your blog).

Over Christmas break, I visited my family in Arkansas. I had a ton of fun playing there with my cousins and catching up with grandparents I haven't seen in awhile. I also did a lot of kicking over the break because I am passionate about it. I even got my first job working as a delivery driver. I also enjoyed not having to go to school every day because school can suck sometimes especially when you can only go to the bathroom twice a week in all your classes and it emails your parents every time you do. I think that might be a little insane, but I only have one semester left to deal with it. Dude, school has conditioned me to hide my phone whenever I'm in public whenever someone approaches me. I went to Chilis last week and my sever approached to ask for my order and I hid my phone out of habit and I was like what is school doing to me.

My first goal for this year is to stretch my legs for at least 10 minutes every day. This goal is important to me because I want to increase my flexibility in my lower body to stay physically fit. I will accomplish this goal by stretching for 5 minutes when I wake up in the morning, stretching for 5 minutes before I go to bed at night (while also using my massage gun right after I stretch), and stretching whenever I catch myself scrolling on my phone or doing other unproductive activities.

2. My second goal for this year is to kick a 55-yard field goal by the time the year ends. This goal is important to me because I'd love to pursue kicking when I go to college to either play football and/or rugby. I will accomplish this goal by practicing my kicking as much as possible in order to work on technique by submitting film to my coach so he can help me get better. I will also practice strength training to increase my leg power.

3. My third goal for this year is to play rugby for the University of Arkansas. This goal is important to me because I love to watch rugby being played, and there is less competition to have a kicking role; therefore, I am higher up the skill ladder. I will accomplish this goal by doing a ton of strength training in the gym in order to be strong enough with my upper body, because this would add more to my kicking ability and make me an even more valuable player. I will also run sprints in order to get my conditioning up where it needs to be so that I am not tired.

4. My fourth goal for this year is to earn at least $10,000 from work. This goal is important to me because I haven't ever really worked before, and I need more money to attend college. I will accomplish this goal by working as many shifts as I can for my job at Grubhub. I need to balance my work with my music studies as well so that I can continue to improve at the French Horn, which is what I'm going to school to do. In addition, once I turn 19 in July, I will also become a worker for UberEats and DoorDash, since their minimun age is 19. Until then, I can only work for GrubHub because they are the only delivery service that hires at 18.

Today in class, I set SMART goals for myself that I can complete by the end of the year and I went on a tirade about the school rules in my blog post.

I learned the expectations I should have for myself in the coming year I also learned that blogger doesn't let you change the font highlight once you copy and paste something in a different color. Go figure. I've tried every button to make my dad gum font highlight not green but it just won't do it. I was thinking about reloading the page but I feel like it will delete my work. Oh well.
