Discuss something meaningful or memorable you experienced over the break, or reflect on what you felt most thankful for during that time.

Something memorable that I experienced over break was  the road rage incident. (Buckle your seatbelt for this one hahaha). On Friday night, I was driving my girlfriend home after she helped us decorate for Christmas. On Briarcliff road, a big ol truck started following me really close behind and was flashing his light and honking his horn at me. It was about 10:30 at night, so we were the only ones on the road. Against my better judgement, I decided to try to make the dude even MORE mad by coasting and slowing the car down MORE because it seemed like a good idea at the time. Unfortunetaly, the dude decided to start following me and he followed for a long time. Rose was scared, but I just knew to drive to the police station. I'm just glad I survived the situation.

Today in class we read letters 46-50 in The Color Purple, and I'm still very thankful Mr. Rease hasn't read any of the book out loud.

I learned to decipher the book's deeper meaning from the comprehension questions and not just taking it at the surface level.

Pretend you are writing a blog entry as Celie; the moment you uncover the hidden letters. Describe what you would think, say, and do, and how this discovery would reshape how you see Mister and yourself. Reflect on why this moment would matter so much and how it would change your next choices.

Prompt: Tell me what is your favorite word RIGHT NOW? Why is it your favorite word and how often do you use it?
